Securikett Debuts Durable DPP Label Solution

Securikett has launched a strong-adhesive security label designed to stay attached to a product throughout its entire lifecycle, even on difficult surfaces such as wood, and in demanding weather conditions.

The solution addresses one of the key challenges of future digital product passport (DPP) requirements: ensuring that product identifiers remain permanently accessible.

‘The digital product passport introduces the requirement that product data must remain accessible. This creates a significant technical challenge, particularly in ensuring that identifiers remain readable and linked to reliable data sources over time,’ explained Vanessa Mitterer-Kling, Head of R&D at Securikett. ‘These new labels address this challenge by combining a highly durable adhesive with robust code integrity.’ For enhanced security, the label can be equipped with Securikett’s VOID feature. Upon removal, the label leaves behind a permanent and irreversible tamper-evident message. This effectively prevents the label from being reapplied to another product and safeguards the integrity of the original item.
